Know The Difference

In the world of laser toner cartridges there are two types of companies. Those that re-manufacture and those that refill or recharge. What's the difference? The difference can mean cartridges that leak or have poor quality images.

Recharged or refilled is a simple procedure. What it means is that the company or person either drills a hole in your cartridge or takes it apart; then pours in the toner. They then either reassemble it or tape up the hole. In the end you get a cartridge that has toner again to print, but none of the old parts have been replaced. The drum and many components may be worn out. In the end you get a cartridge of poor quality that has images that are difficult to be happy with.

Re-manufactured means something different. completely rebuilds the cartridge. All worn parts are replaced, including drums and smaller parts. The cartridge is then reassembled and looks and acts like a new cartridge. The images are clean and the print is often as good or better than an OEM cartridge.
